Important notices about banking services of Ansbacher & Co. Ltd.
The following notices applied whilst the bank was undertaking client business and are provided for reference purposes only.
All, or most of, the protections, in particular the protections afforded to private/retail customers, provided by the United Kingdom’s Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 do not apply to business conducted with non United Kingdom companies within the Ansbacher Banking Group, or to business conducted with non United Kingdom locations. Such business is also excluded from the United Kingdom's Financial Services Compensation Scheme.
We are covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS). The FSCS can pay compensation to depositors if a bank is unable to meet its financial obligations. Most depositors - including most individuals and small businesses - are covered by the scheme.
In respect of deposits, an eligible depositor is entitled to claim up to £85,000. For joint accounts each account holder is treated as having a claim in respect of their share so, for a joint account held by two eligible depositors, the maximum amount that could be claimed would be £85,000 each (making a total of £170,000). The £85,000 limit relates to the combined amount in all the eligible depositor's accounts with the bank, including their share of any joint account, and not to each separate account.
For further information about the scheme (including the amounts covered and eligibility to claim) please ask at our office, refer to the FSCS website www.fscs.org.uk or call 020 7892 7300 or 0800 678 1100.
If a customer wishes to make a complaint about a service provided by Ansbacher, the customer should contact the managing director of the relevant Ansbacher Company at the address as set out on the ‘Contact Us’ page of the website. The Financial Ombudsman Service is an independent service set up by law to resolve disputes between consumers and financial firms. YOU MAY LOSE YOUR HOME IF YOU DO NOT KEEP UP REPAYMENTS ON A MORTGAGE OR OTHER LOAN SECURED ON IT.
