Following a strategic review of its offshore wealth management services, the Ansbacher Group's shareholder (Qatar National Bank SAQ) took the decision in 2008 to withdraw from or close the Group's various operations in the Channel Islands. The private bank (Ansbacher (Channel Islands) Ltd) was closed in April 2010 following the sale of the bank's sister companies Sarnia Yachts Limited, in December 2008, and Ansbacher Trustees (Jersey) Limited, in March 2009.
